find your English voice.
Although English is not an official language in Belgium, it is spoken a lot in Brussels. It is the common language (sorry French and Flemish). You can do a lot with English. English will help when you travel, search for information and return home. There are many advantages to learning English. I believe you can learn!
I will help you:
immerse yourself in the local culture.
speak English with confidence.
look at culture in a different way, how to explore, be curious and learn from it.
develop friendships with people in your community, build a local support network.
ask questions to get answers/results.
problem-solve from your life experience, when the answer can not be found in your resources.
feel empowered to find the information that is most relevant to you.
Coach vs Teacher
I’m an English coach and have been teaching English for almost 20 years. As a coach, I help you with the mechanics (grammar) and mastery (vocabulary and fluency). I am certified in Neurolanguage Coaching® (registered US and European trademark in the name of Rachel Marie Paling.)
Coaching is different from teaching.
Coaching is about helping you find your power. As a coach, I help you realize your motivation for learning. Together we set personal and relevant goals. Like a sports coach, I am there to motivate you, to energize you. We focus on your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.

Benefits of improving your English:
You have energy!
You will become more curious and creative.
You will notice a little more courage to take the next step to learn and discover.
Learning a language has ups and downs, good experiences and bad experiences. Like life, the more we focus on the benefits, the more we will grown and improve.
Sometimes things go right and sometimes they go wrong. We work together to have the tools and the confidence to keep going, even when it gets difficult. With a single spark, knowing why we want to learn, we can create a whole new adventure. Isn't that exciting?
The Science behind learning
I don’t have a textbook for you. Maybe that is crazy, but we develop our own textbook. Your goals set the topics and we work together to master them.
There are no hidden surprises or paper tests.
When I hear I have to write a test, I panic. I forget everything I knew!
When we feel fear or are afraid, for example afraid of making mistakes, afraid of embarrassing ourselves, afraid of sounding like an English learner rather than an English speaker, it is difficult to learn. Our brains are not happy!
Therefore, we keep each lesson positive, keep our brains happy, even exhilarated to be learning English. No tests and no hidden surprises.
∞The science behind it: When we are calm and happy, our brain can focus on learning, building connections. Stay calm and carry on.
She always motivates the students. Participants became more active learners since starting the course. She is the best teacher I have ever met.
-Kazue Ono, Shizuoka
I think Christie Sensei has very high skills of coaching English. Her coaching was effective for learning English that Americans and Canadians usually speak.
-Hiroshi Kida, Shizuoka
My daily life has changed since I started studying with Christie. I have four children. Everyday I'm busy, so I didn't have time to do anything. Now I have a lot of things I want to know and talk with her about. I began to read some books, read some articles and describe about my opinions in English. Time spending with her has changed me. She always encourage me and supports me to learn more. I can talk with her without fear of making mistake in English. I'm very happy to meet her.She is my best coach. I highly recommend her!
